Paul Eastham's RV-9A

11/29/2003

6 hours:I finished up drilling the right elevator, including the two misaligned holes which I think are not a big deal but as usual I will have to ask the engineers. Then I started getting ready for another round of priming, by deburring and dimpling many various parts from the rudder and elevator. Some of the holes are too small to allow any dimpling tool to get in...here is a piece of steel that I countersunk to act as a female dimple die. Then I mounted the male die in the c-frame rod...it works, not very well though.

Lots of random parts getting ready for paint. Still need to remove scratches, and there are quite a few after all the fussing with the elevator fit.
