5 hours: More left elevator work...riveted the top stiffeners and spar...
I always wonder why I feel so tired when I finish with a long rivet line like that, then I peer down the line and realize why...it just goes off to infinity at a rate of 10 rivets per foot.
Bottom stiffeners and trim tab access plate:
Riveted on counterbalance ribs (some very tough rivets in there...not sure how you could possibly hit some of those with a gun. Had to use a few CherryMax rivets), now all that's left is to squeeze the rivets on the edges, then the trailing edge, and it's done.
My reservation of tail number N42PE arrived in the mail today. Most four-letter tail numbers ending in PE (my initials) were taken, except, oddly enough, for the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, 42.
