12/27/20034 hours: Today I completed the rudder by closing up the leading edge. This area is hidden from view when mounted to the airplane, which is good because I really made a mess out of it...the bending-with-a-broomstick didn't get the job done so I tried to bend it by hand and made some minor creases near the spar and at the edge. Ah well, the rudder is my most sloppy part so far. Maybe I'll rebuild it after I do the rest of the airplane.Voila! It also has some nice oil-canning on both sides. Must...finish...empennage... Back to the right elevator, the "easy" one...I attached the counterweight assembly and did the dozens of pop rivets on the bottom side of the spar. All that's left is to rivet the ribs, then do the whole trailing edge song and dance again.
