5 hours: Baffle tie rods, engine controls, wiring bundles, cowl filling

Baffles on for the final time, I hope...just with a few screws for now until I get the oil cooler figured out.

To secure the baffles around the engine without hitting the oil return lines, I read about a method to secure them with threaded rods rather than safety wire. I bent these rods to the correct shapes for my engine. They still need to be trimmed though (ah, the joys of having 2 workshops -- the die grinder is at home)

Test fit of center cover and control cover. I drew marks through the firewall to try to locate the cutouts.

There, now the controls are about ready to secure. I think I will paint this metal first, though.

Played around with priming a spot on the upper cowl to see how my smoothing is going. Pretty good. Also did some filler on the upper inlets, and sanded down the ramps some more. Will need to do some more of this, and will wait until all of my fiberglass materials are down here to do it.

More UV Smoothprime on the lower cowl. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but it seems like I'm going to run out of it before I'm done (1 quart kit)

Worked on getting center and right wire bundles into conduit. Center bundle is too big for my conduit, need to find some bigger stuff.
